Join Leon County Government on a journey through the historical origins of hip-hop culture with educator Maurice Johnson.
Exploring the response of hip-hop to socioeconomic and political oppression, the lecture will help attendees gain a better understanding of the artistic expression of hip-hop music and how it can be used as an educational tool.
The Leon County Library Lecture Series is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be provided.
