Handmade History: Women in Public History

Join the staff of The Grove Museum for Handmade History as we discuss women in public history.

Public history describes the many ways history is put to work in the world. This includes museums, archives, historic preservation, and much more. Women have played a monumental role in the development of public history in the United States, and we will be discussing their contributions.

We will be joined by special guests from the community who will help lead the group discussion: Dr. Jennifer Koslow, Director of the Historical Administration & Public History program at Florida State University; Tiffany Baker, Director of the Florida Historic Capitol Museum; Paige Lee, Director of Education at the John G. Riley Center & Museum; and Elizabeth Loeffelman, Social Media Coordinator for the Florida Memory Program.

During our conversation, we will each be working on a small scrapbook using historic photos.

This is a ticketed program geared towards adults ages 18+; $5 ticket purchase includes program, supplies, and light refreshments.
