Hand Building 1

Designed for beginner level students with introductory level experience with hand building and clay. We will focus on mastering foundational skills in slabs, coils, and sculpture by making larger pots and student-designed projects. We will also explore surface design through the creation of tiles. Classes will be a combination of specific projects and student-led ideas. Students can expect to complete 2-3 larger projects. The class will include discussion of clay, glazes, and kilns that will give students a holistic understanding of ceramics. Repeatable until students feel confident moving to an intermediate level class.

Student work will be available for pick up 1-2 weeks after the end of the class.
