Featuring the artwork of artist, Javier Arreguin Villegas, this event explores the traditions of Dia de los Muertos. The Day of the Dead (el Día de los Muertos) is a traditional Mexican holiday that takes place between October 31 and November 2, when it is believed the souls of departed family members can return to eat, drink, dance, and celebrate with their families. Interactive Technique to explore Topics like death or the dead and How to See the Creative Side of It 5 PM – 6 PM. FREE
SUNDAY, OCTOBER 30TH -- COMMUNITY CELEBRATION 12 PM - 6 PM
Come join us for the main event celebration for Day of The Dead! There will art, food, music, and special vendors as part of the festivities. While the event is free and open to the public, cash donations are encouraged.

Artist Reception & Talk 6 PM - 8 PM
Want to bring a photo of a family member or pet that has passed away to share on the altars, or ofrenda, we'll build at The Joe Center for the Arts for the celebration? Please bring an image no larger than 5x7, preferably in a frame the same size. Drop your framed photos off at The Joe during open business hours no later than October 26th at 6 PM.
