For Cats' Sake Silent Art Auction Fundraiser

FALC is a rescue that focuses on advocating for and re-homing of homeless cats and kittens in Leon County and the surrounding areas. FALC is a foster-based organization that runs two self-sustaining adoption centers, Fat Cat Cafe and Fat Cat Books. The medical bills for the cats cared for by the rescue, ranging in age from 1 day old to 18 years old, take a toll on the revenue provided by their centers, and therefore fundraising is a must.
FALC is hosting their annual fundraiser For Cats’ Sake, at the American Legion Post 13 Lake Ella, Saturday, October 9, 4-7 pm: $20 per person, $35 per couple. Silent Auction, Raffles, Door Prizes, Heavy hors d oeuvres Live Jazz Performance and Special Guests, “The FSU Acabelles”. Tallahassee’s favorite, Greg Tish, will be the emcee for the afternoon.

All the benefits from this fun fundraiser will help FALC continue to help homeless, rescued kitties and cats at Tallahassee’s first “Fat Cat Café” and Fat Cat Books.
Tallahassee’s first cat cafe,  “Fat Cat Café” was established in August of 2017. This local 501(c3) has helped rescue kitties and cats by housing them in a most wonderful indoor cat haven at 2901 East Park Ave, and our Railroad Square bookstore, Fat Cat Books, at 647 McDonnell Dr. We rescue cats from a wide variety of situations including strays, cats from high volume shelters, owner surrendered cats, and cats transferred from other rescue groups. We are not affiliated with any local agency or National Group. We have adopted over 930 beautiful felines to fur-ever homes. We have partnered with several small businesses and artists to promote local growth within the community by displaying their works in our cute boutique found in the Café.
