Join the JAM! Workshops for youth in Leon County, focused on learning traditional old time, bluegrass and Celtic music, are now being offered by the Florida State Fiddlers Association!
Does your child play guitar, banjo, fiddle, mandolin, ukelele or bass? Are they interested in learning old time, bluegrass or Celtic music with other young people from their community? The Florida State Fiddlers Association is starting a new program aimed at teaching young people traditional music in Florida, modeled after the JAM program in the Appalachian region. Additional time info:
Workshops will last 45 minutes and will be followed by a JAM that lasts 45 minutes. Family members can join the JAM but workshops are for youth only (under 18). Participants must be registered in order to participate. No child will be turned away due to money concerns.
