First Annual Bloomsday Festival

The Irish celebration of Bloomsday highlights James Joyce’s Ulysses, sing Irish songs, thrill to Irish Step Dancers, learn more from Joyce scholars, and enjoy a time-warping love story between an Irish lass and an American tourist.

On June 16, 1954, the 50th anniversary of the Joyce's Ulysses, a group of Dubliners decided to follow the path of the character Leopold Bloom in the novel. They only made it through a couple of pubs before they were significantly inebriated and started fighting with each other. But it became a tradition in Dublin that has spread across the globe. Festival tickets: $25. Show Only tickets: $15. Because of the pandemic, all performances are OUTDOORS!

PARKING INFO

The Museum’s main entrance is located off Miccosukee Road, just East of Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare. The Museum’s back entrance can be accessed off Surgeons Drive.
