Faust Writers Meetings for Queer as Faust Sweet 16

Faust shows are typically filled with a mix of political and socio-sexual satire, literary and cinematic parodies, old vaudeville, new vaudeville, original and adapted songs, and some fully-staged bad jokes thrown in for good measure, with our summer shows queer and pride focused. We will have two weekly meetings (in-person and virtual) until the final meeting, where writers determine what scripts they deem ready for the stage. Afterward, directors meet separately to judge- I mean, choose which pieces to be in the QAF show. Many archival pieces were selected as options for QAF.

Here’s the writers’ meeting and readings/casting schedule below. All meetings are hybrid unless we decide none of us wanna leave our house:

• Sunday, April 16, 2 PM (1st Official Writers Meeting)
• Wednesday, April 19, 7 PM (2nd Writers Meeting)
• Sunday, April 23, 2 PM (Last meeting to bring new ideas, aka a concept without a script)
• Wednesday, April 26, 7 PM (Last meeting for new scripts)
• Sunday, April 30, 2 PM (Final Meeting – Writers: Script Approval)
