Well – here is a one time opportunity.  "dEvI mahAmAya", a boradway style musical is being staged in Tallahassee on June'04, 2016 at 2:30 PM (doors open at 2:00 PM) in Lee Hall Auditorium, FAMU. "dEvi mahAmAya" being organized by HTT is a Broadway type musical in ENGLISH, based on mythological stories from India. An Atlanta, GA based group performing this show has experience of having staged over 30 such shows in major cities.  With elaborate stage settings, props, and costumes, lighting effects and a WOV factor, all the shows are normally sold out filling prestigious auditoriums like Clayton County Performing Arts Center to capacity.

The six passions of the mind "Lust", "Anger", "Greed", "Attachment", "Pride" and "Jealousy" are normally manifested in human beings to some degree.  When these qualities cross a limit, the human being becomes  demonic – a "asura" and becomes dreadful causing immense damage to the humanity and the world in general.   "dEvI mahAmAya" is a show created based on the Hindu theology that the Supreme takes the feminine form to control the uprise, restore balance and peace.  

This show consists of dramatization of short mythological stories, presented as a musical consisting of hymns of praise "stotrams" on the supreme in feminine form.  

It is being performed to live music by 16 musicians using some very ethnic instruments, some of them never seen being performed in Tallahassee by 40 on stage artists and 30 production crew.  Music is composed by Tallahassee resident, Srinivasa Bharadwaj Kishore, a well known composer/conductor and artistic director of swaravAhini.  This is written and directed by Syam Yellamraju of Atlanta.

Performing group is traveling to TLH and performing FREE for this tax exempt Hindu Temple of Tallahassee fundraiser.
