Join us Friday, September 9th for a fun community contra dance! Joey Norton will be joining us all the way from St. Pete to call the dances and Tallahassee’s own Greasy String Band will be playing live tunes.
Tallahassee community contra dances have resumed at the Senior Center on the 2nd and 4th Fridays of each month! Contra dancing is a beginner-friendly American folk dance for all ages. It shares many moves with square dancing (such as swing your partner and do-si-do) and is danced in long lines to live music. The bands and callers vary each night. Admission cost: $10 for Adults, $9 Seniors over 50, $6 for Students, Free for Kids under 12
Admission is payable by cash or check at the door. Newcomers get in to your 2nd dance free!
