Join us Friday, December 9th for a fun community contra dance! Gainesville’s awesome Andy Kane will be calling the dances and The Long Forgotten String Band will be playing live tunes.
Last dance before the holidays--Join us for this festive second-Friday dance in the Senior Center ballroom! Contra dancing is a beginner-friendly American folk dance for all ages. It shares many moves with square dancing (such as swing your partner and do-si-do) and is danced in long lines to live music. The bands and callers vary each month. Admission cost: $10 for Adults, $9 Seniors over 50, $6 for Students, Free for Kids under 12
Admission is payable by cash, check, or card at the door. Newcomers get in to your 2nd dance free!
