Contra Dance feat. Alice Raibourn & Greasy String Band
Join us Friday, June 9th for a fun community contra dance! Alice Raibourn will be joining us all the way from Orlando to call the dances and the Greasy String Band will be playing live tunes.
Tallahassee community contra dances have resumed in the Senior Center Ballroom on the 2nd and 4th Fridays most months! Contra dancing is an upbeat, beginner-friendly American folk dance for all ages. It shares many moves with square dancing (such as swing your partner and do-si-do) and is danced in long lines to live music. The bands and callers vary each night. Come alone or bring friends–no partner or experience required. Those new to contra dancing are strongly encouraged to come by 7:15View more
