Join us at Mission San Luis as we welcome special guest Cándido Creis Estrada, Consul General of Spain in Miami, who will be the last speaker in our 2018-2019 Colonial Spanish Florida History Series.
The Consul General of Spain's presentation is entitled “Spanish Culture Alive in Florida: The Impact of Spain’s Heritage Today.” Learn about Spain’s legacy in the United States and other aspects of the Spanish presence in Florida from 1513 to 1821. Cándido Creis' talk marks the 500th anniversary of the birth of the Adelantado, Don Pedro Menéndez de Avilés, Governor of La Florida.
