Coffee and Documents: 175th Anniversary of Statehood

On March 3, 1845, the State of Florida was officially recognized as part of the United States of America. As Floridians commemorate this day in history, staff at the Historic Capitol Museum will share documents and stories behind how Florida came to be the 27th state, the 1838 state constitution, and the construction of the first masonry Capitol building. Come enjoy coffee, donuts, and documents with us as we journey back 175 years since statehood.
