Classical painting techniques are taught in this class using the proven methods of Renaissance Masters and 19th century French Ateliers.
Working with a limited pallet, students will learn color mixing, brushwork, and edge control in this six-week course. Similar to the Classical Drawing course, students will start with beginning exercises, and progress to chiaroscuro shapes and cast painting, eventually leading to painting from a live, clothed model.
