Chakradance Introductory Class

Chakradance™  is growing quickly, with 500+ facilitators in 50+ countries now. But it is still new in most places, and The Junction At Monroe is the only place in the Tallahassee area to offer classes with an accredited facilitator beginning January 2020.

Chakradance™ is an exciting new well-being practice - a fusion of ancient wisdoms and modern music. It's a wonderful way to re-tune and revitalize your whole mind-body-spirit energy system. Moving freely (no 'set steps') to music created to resonate with each chakra, you are guided into your own inner dance of release and re-connection. Some call it "the sister of yoga". Many people say it feels like "coming home". We just say "healthy chakras, happy life!".

There's no right or wrong way to Chakradance™. It’s a journey of self-discovery. Each chakra is explored through specific music, guided imagery and your own free, improvised dance, done with your eyes softly closed. This begins to activate inner experiences. It’s almost like entering into a waking dream. You may see images in your mind’s eye while you are dancing or gain insights. You may also experience feelings, emotions or physical sensations. Classes, comprised of a small group of people, are held in candle lit spaces. Although music and dance form the primary focus, sessions also include sensing, working with elements and colours, and short meditations.

Our introductory classes will begin January 5, 2020 and are limited in size. Additional classes will be added as needed. Reservations are required and may be made online at junctionatmonroe.com. An introductory price of $15 per class is valid only for the January 5th classes. Facilitator Katina Simpson has been practicing Chakradance™ for over 3 years and will be offering continued beginner classes as well as a seven week intermediate spiritual rebirth class and individual advanced classes throughout the year.
