Camp Challenger

Camp Challenger’s STEAM-themed camps feature hands-on activities led by experienced educators.

Camp Challenger's STEAM-themed camps feature hands-on activities led by experienced educators. Challenger Learning Center strives to ensure campers have fun in a safe and educational atmosphere. Campers are guaranteed focused attention with a ratio of at least one educator for every eight children. Camp curriculum is age appropriate and is designed to provide “hands-on, minds-on” learning experiences for each grade level (completed grades K-8).

COST

One week of camp is $200. Four-day camps are $180 per week. Day camps are $50 per day. Family membership holders receive 10% off each camp ($180 per week, $162 per four-day camp, $45 per day camp). AM Extended Care is $5 per day or $20 per week. PM Extended Care is $5 per day or $20 per week. Some camps charge an additional materials, technology or field trip fee; these camps are indicated in the matrix above. (Additional fees: *=$15 **=$30 ***=$100 ****=$175).

PARKING INFO

PUBLIC PARKING

The Kleman Parking Garage is the closest public parking garage to the Challenger Learning Center (CLC). It is adjacent to the CLC on Kleman Plaza. Entrances to the Kleman Parking Garage are located on South Duval and South Bronough Streets. The rates are follows:

  • 0-2 Hours: $2.00
  • 2-3 Hours: $2.50
  • 3-4 Hours: $3.00
  • 4-5 Hours: $3.50
  • 5-6 Hours: $4.00
  • 6-7 Hours: $4.50
  • 7-8 Hours: $5.00
  • 8+ Hours: $6.00
  • After 6:00 P.M.: $1.00
  • Weekends all day:$1.00

Additional parking is available at metered street spots and other public lots located throughout downtown Tallahassee.

Buses: Buses should pull into the bus ramp on College Ave.  Enter the bus ramp by traveling South on Bronough St. and turning left onto College Ave.  The bus ramp will be on the immediate right.  The bus ramp is for drop off and pick up only.  Parking is available at the Leon County Civic Center (free for Leon County Schools; $35 for all other buses), the Governor’s Square Mall, or in the free parking lot at the corner of Gaines Street and Duval Street.
