Blanket Statement

White Mouse is excited to announce our full production of “Blanket Statement”, a new one act play written by Abigail Carlisle, the student playwright selected for our first ever Playwrighting Fellowship!

The Playwrighting Fellowship is a year-long partnership designed to help develop a new original work from the selected playwright. The piece has been workshopped and edited through a staged reading of the piece and we are incredibly excited to be staging a full production of it!

“Blanket Statement”, takes place in busy Brooklyn, NY and deals with themes of isolation, pride, and assumptions. When a brutally snowy Christmas Eve falls upon the borough where college student Sam is residing, she encounters Dennis, a homeless man and unexpected beacon for the answers she didn’t know she was looking for.
