Balinese Gamelan Music Workshop - L3X

Experience this unique opportunity to learn about one of the world’s greatest musical traditions. Gamelan is the traditional ensemble music of Java and Bali in Indonesia, made up predominantly of percussive instruments. In this class, you will have the opportunity to learn about the culture, musical tradition, and play some of the music on FSU’s hand-crafted Gamelan. The class will be led by Dr. Michael Bakan, FSU professor of Ethnomusicology and Head of the World Music Ensembles Program.$10 fee.
