Auditions for The Importance of Being Earnest

The classic comedy of manners by Irishman Oscar Wilde has time-tested roles for actors like Dame Judi Dench in 1982 and Colin Firth in the 2002 film.

This is a character-driven comedy. Jack Worthing and Algernon Moncrieff are the intrepid (and overblown) heroes who fall hopelessly in love with Gwendolen Fairfax and Cecily Cardew, much to the chagrin of Gwendolen’s mother, Lady Bracknell.

ADMISSION INFO

Auditions for The Importance of Being Earnest are open to all. Audition materials, including a Character Breakdown and Audition Scenes are available at the bottom of the homepage of  http://tallahasseeirishrep.com.

The performance will be a promenade theater presentation with a different part of the Goodwood Museum & Gardens grounds for each of the three acts.

Tickets will be $25, including a wine and cheese reception 30 minutes before the start of the show. Only FIFTY seats are available for each performance, so pre-paid tickets are strongly encouraged. Online ticket sales are also available at http://tallahasseeirishrep.com.

PARKING INFO

The Museum’s main entrance is located off Miccosukee Road, just East of Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare. The Museum’s back entrance can be accessed off Surgeons Drive.
