Auditions for Hot Dogs, Cool Cats, MadCo

Monticello  Acting & Dance Co. (MadCo) is holding auditions for an original musical, Hot Dogs, Cool Cats, based on an original story by 12-year old Alexandra Brookins, script by Melanie Mays, music & lyrics by Melanie Mays and Tod Barnard; directed, music directed, and choreographed by Melanie Mays. Auditions are Saturday, March 18 or Sunday, March 19 from 2 pm to 4 pm at MadCo Studio, 185 E. Walnut, St (just south of Rev Cafe.) You must be 8 years old or older to audition. Teens needed for this show! If you want to audition for a role, please bring a song to sing in your key. Either bring sheet music or have a digital version of the song you plan to sing (a bluetooth player is available.) If you want to be considered for chorus, music will be provided. Everyone will be asked to dance. No experience needed! Please have your conflicts available and be able to list them on the audition sheet. Rehearsals begin the first week of May. The show opens on June 13, with two performances on June 13, 14, 16, and 17. There will be performances on June 15 at two local nursing homes and the Senior Center.
