Artist Talk with Quilter, Linda O'Sullivan, “The Welsh Perspective”

Linda O’Sullivan has been a member of Quilters Unlimited for almost 40 years, exhibiting her work in almost every quilt show. Linda will share a brief history of Welsh quilting from the 1800s to more contemporary quilt work. Linda will talk about materials and techniques used in the construction of a typical Welsh quilt and about the American connection between the Welsh and Amish quilts. “My quilting journey began in the early 80s when I arrived in the USA from Wales. I learned to embrace the American art of quilting only to discover much later that there was, and still is, a strong tradition of quilting in Wales and Britain.”
