Artist Talk with Bobbie Buckingham

LeMoyne Arts is excited to host a special artist talk with watercolorist, Bobbie Buckingham, as she discusses her inspiration and techniques, from frisket to granulating paints to paper and pencil. Bobbie is a member of seven watercolor societies and has won multiple awards for her work. She is currently the Chairperson for the Tallahassee Watercolor Society Juried Tri-State Water Media Exhibition.

Bobbie Buckingham is a true example that it’s never too late to follow your artistic dreams! Originally from Wauchula, Florida and a graduate of Florida State University, Bobbie spent her career as an elementary school educator for 37 years. During retirement, she decided to explore her creative side with color pencils, only to realize that a true artist was within her. She shifted to watercolor painting in 2016, and soon discovered that both her parents were talented artists as well. Inspired, she enrolled in local watercolor classes throughout the year and began to participate in watercolor workshops and seminars to develop her talent.

Bobbie’s artist talk will take place in the LeMoyne Arts Gallery on Thursday, June 8, 5:30-6:30pm.

Free for LeMoyne Arts Members and children under 12, $5 donation for non-members.
