Amidst Everything

Amidst Everything showcases the work of eight Venvi Art Gallery artists. In this virtual landscape, amidst the ensuing catastrophes outside, we have put together many pieces filled with emotion and fury. Bright explosions of color are seen in artwork by Julie Bowland, Ray Burggraf, Christina Klein, Mark Messersmith, and Brinda Pamulapati which are contrasted with more intimate pieces by Leon Hicks, Dan Taylor, and Michelle Wilcox.

Many of the works’ titles bring new meaning in the present-day context. Mary Stewart’s “Surface Tension #1” and “Storm Fury #4”, Leon Hick’s “Remorse is Sin”, and Mark Messersmith’s “Discontent and Anxieties”, all these words echo our reality. Within turbulent times, we look to art to analyze and process what we all are feeling, and sometimes there aren’t words for the turbulence, as portrayed in abstract art by Ray Burggraf and Christina Klein. This show will be available for viewing June 10 – July 10.
