Able Artists Gallery's August Featured Artist, Lauren Walker of WillioWisps

This August, Able Artist Gallery is featuring the works of Lauren Walker.  Lauren was diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome as a young child at which time her love for art and creating things became apparent as she spent countless hours drawing and creating art out of any available items she could find.  Lauren feels her art is her lifeline as it not only provides her a source of income, but more importantly, it gives her a sense of pride, self worth, and acceptance with each complement or piece of work that is sold. Lauren now mainly focuses on specializing in fractal wood burned designs that uses electricity to create unique pieces in which no two works are identical.  Many of her pieces include glow-in-the-dark resin to add to their beauty and appeal.  She has a wide array of creations that include birdhouses, bowls, coasters, pepper mills, lazy susans, a variety of children’s toys, and her very popular custom-made skateboards.
