A Reason to Smile, is an exhibit of art from the head and heart of Mary Liz Tippin-Moody. It will be on display from June 3 – 23 at the Oglesby Gallery in the FSU Union.  Mary Liz is pleased to present a collection of images captured in watercolor and ink and acrylic on canvas, created for the simple joy of it. Hopefully, bringing these images to life should result in a smile or two for you, along the way. A closing reception for this art exhibition will be held on Friday, June 23 from 6 to 9 p.m. Light refreshments will be served. This family-friendly event is free, open to the public, and possibly more fun than a catnip mouse.

About the artist:

Mary Liz Tippin-Moody is a Tallahassee native and FSU graduate. Employed for over three decades in the graphic design and advertising agency world, she now enjoys a freelance career creating illustrations, design projects and writing content for a variety of regional professionals. The images collected here were created in her “spare time,” for the joy of the process itself.  Since her days back at Kate Sullivan Elementary, Mary Liz has always loved drawing “from her head” to engage and amuse the viewer. She welcomes commissions of all kinds and has created custom portraits and one-of-a-kind greeting cards for friends of their pets, themselves, their houses, and cherished local landmarks, rendered with a whimsical touch.
