6th Annual Emancipation and Abolitionist Ball

The 2nd Infantry Regiment of the United States Colored Troops (USCT), in collaboration with the John G. Riley Center/Museum, will be hosting the 6th Annual Emancipation and Abolitionist Ball on Saturday, May 21 2016, from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.. This year, the ball will feature, as a showcase event, the presentation of the Althemese Barnes Historical Preservation Service Award.

Other highlights of this year’s Emancipation and Abolitionist Ball will include the Unit Quadrille, a dance from the Civil War era, and live music by the Leon Anderson Jazz and Blues Band with Avis Berry.
