2nd Saturday— The Pumpkin Story

Join Museum of Florida History Educators at Mission San Luis for 2nd Saturday programs featuring hands-on activities for young historians.

Did you know pumpkins originated in the Americas? Pumpkins and other gourds were used by Indigenous peoples here in Florida for many purposes. Come learn about the history of the pumpkin and decorate your own to take home.

Each free program runs from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and is designed for children ages 4 to 8 and their families.

This event will be at Mission San Luis. Admission to Mission San Luis is free for program participants.
