A dynamic organization of both published and aspiring writers of all ages in all genres. TWA sponsors the annual Tallahassee Writers Association Conference and Book Fair, several writing workshops throughout the year, and monthly presentations. TWA also sponsors nationally recognized writers’ contests: The Seven Hills Contest (fiction, non-fiction, memoirs, essay) and Penumbra (poetry, haiku). TWA also sponsors the Big Bend Writers Guild (BBWG), for high-school students interested in improving their creative writing; and authors are available for school visits through the Writers-Meet-Writers program.
