Alice Cappa, weaver of woolly fleece, cotton, silk, linen and perhaps some bamboo, warps a 4-harness loom with a variety of textures and colors. With wools, she spins nubby yarns on the wheel, steams natural dyes in a pot on the fire, and with an assortment of yarns, trims, ribbons, and beads, she then weaves them into a unified whole. Alice offers her work through galleries and art shows, plus workshops in creating triangular weavings.
