Calling all artists, performers, and arts educators!
COCA is partnering with the Red Cross to provide arts and entertainment in shelters housing those who have lost their homes or are displaced due to the recent hurricane. There are several shelters in the Panama City Beach area (4 shelters), and Port St. Joe (3 shelters) that are seeking artist volunteers and performers. They are eager to schedule performances and arts activities in these shelters as soon as possible.
Can you help? We need artists, bands, ensembles, and arts educators of all kinds to perform or bring arts-related activities to Port St. Joe and the Panama City Beach area. There are children in the shelters too, so there is a need for children's art activities or children’s performances as well!
Dates:
All dates are currently available. Monday-Sundays. Weekdays or weekends. They said they prefer to start scheduling as soon as possible. So, please reply ASAP if you are interested.
Times:
The preferred times are:
Port St. Joe
3pm-4:30pm or
6pm-8pm
Panama City Beach
2pm-4pm or
7:30pm-8:30
Location:
COCA will send you the address and contact information for the specific shelter once we confirm your visit with the venue. Most likely, all performances and activities will take place in school cafeterias. You need to understand that the space might not be great for performing, but COCA can try to help with simple sound amplification or other needs you might have.
