The Council on Culture & Arts & blindCAN presents “Video Content 101 Workshop Series”, a free three-part workshop series.
**Workshop is hosted at two different venues. Please check the address for each date**
Day 1: Recording Content | Thu Sep 14 | 5:00 – 6:30 PM
609 Railroad Square | Tallahassee FL | 32310
Ben Fox, Founder and President of blindCAN, will be going over how to create video content. Topics will cover simple storyboarding, set/setting, sound, lights, and framing (what is it and what is in it?)
To best prepare, you’ll need to bring a smartphone with a working camera.
You can find the slideshow used on day 1 here. You can also find the slideshow as a PDF here.
Day 2: Post Production & Editing | Thu Sep 21 | 5:30 – 6:30 PM
914 Railroad Avenue | Tallahassee FL | 32310
Now, it’s time to take your video and edit it! We’ll cover basic post-production tips/tricks and apps you can use, along with some basic social media channel tips, such as difference in video size, horizontal or vertical, etc. (If you choose to attend only Day 2 and not Day 1, we ask you bring a pre-recorded video of your own to work on.)
Day 3: Video Premiere & Gala Reception | Thu Sep 28 | 5:00 – 6:30 PM
609 Railroad Square | Tallahassee FL | 32310
You’re a star, and it’s time to shine! We’ll be premiering the videos you recorded and editing onto a big screen, giving you the filmmaker treatment. We’ll also have light snacks and beverages while you celebrate with your fellow filmmakers.
If you have any questions regarding the workshop series, feel free to contact Samantha Sumler, the Marketing & Communications Manager at COCA (samantha@tallahasseearts.org).
