The mask is everywhere. Blank & anonymous, it appears as a constant reminder of the crisis we’re all facing. And yet, the mask can be more than a piece of fabric: it can be a statement piece. A piece to play, to hide, to hunt, to dance, to become more than oneself.  The members of the jury and The Curators are opening #THEMASKPROJECT to bring support to the artist’s communities, and challenge their creativity. Painters, drawers, designers, stylists, inventors, poets and creators from all over the world are invited to participate and share their vision.

The Competition

All submitted artworks will be displayed in a gallery where the public will be able to vote for their favorite pieces. The artists are encouraged to share their work on social media using #themaskproject in order to get more votes. The competition consists of 2 rounds: FIRST ROUND 10 Finalists per category will be selected by public vote FINAL ROUND 3 Winners per category will be elected by The Jury.

Eligibility

  • Artists from any country are welcome to apply with works in any medium: painting, drawing, calligraphy, poetry, embroidery, sculpture, digital, printmaking, fiber, photography, mixed media, and more.
  • The Competition is open to all, regardless of age or professional status.
