The Capital of Non-Profits: Elevating Our Community and Its Economy

“Local nonprofit leaders from the Institute for Nonprofit Innovation and Excellence (INIE), Council On Culture & Arts (COCA), and United Partners For Human Services (UPHS) hosted this virtual town hall on 2/9/21 to reveal the findings of a recent local survey on the Big Bend community’s awareness of the significant role and impact that nonprofits have on our local economy.

Dr. Karen Cypers, Ph.D., partner and Vice President of Research at Sachs Media, presented the survey and its results, followed by a moderated conversation with nonprofit leaders about the sector’s role in the community, myths and misconceptions uncovered by the survey, and how nonprofits can continue to serve as engines of local vitality and economy growth.

Nigel Allen, President and Chief Advancement Officer, Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare Foundation
Sue Dick, President and CEO, Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce
Jared Ross, President and CEO, League of Southeastern Credit Unions
Moderator: Trimmel Gomes
