PR & Outreach Internship Available

Polyphonic Bonsai is currently seeking someone for an unpaid public relations internship, beginning immediately. We’re a 501c3 nonprofit theatre company established in 2013, and the position will focus specifically on publicity and outreach for our upcoming production of David Harrower’s play "Blackbird."

The work will involve setting up TV and radio appearances; sending out press releases to local publications that promote theatre auditions and performances; posters; handbills; social media exposure; direct outreach to target audiences; advertising; etc. This position requires someone with attention to details and time management skills who can organize a publicity strategy and follow through on that plan. The position does not require theatre or entertainment experience.

While unpaid, there are rewards: practical PR experience for a non-profit company, creative collaboration with the Polyphonic team, association with the Tallahassee theatre community, free tickets to the show, and undying gratitude. If the internship proves mutually beneficial over the course of "Blackbird," the position can be extended indefinitely.
