The PMP/Suncoast Super Strings project brings local young violinists (ages 8-18) from across Sarasota and Manatee counties and around Florida to come together as a group to play a select musical composition with the PMP String Orchestra under the direction of internationally acclaimed violinist and conductor, Itzhak Perlman! Preparatory workshops with local music instructors will be held to support participants. The 2016-2017 PMP/Suncoast Super Strings will be the fourth presentation of this special project of the Perlman Music Program Sarasota Winter Residency.
