Plein Air Watercolor Workshop

Come to Saint George Island on Thursday afternoon to discover how to paint in plein air during the "Paint St. George" Plein Air event. The workshop is from noon until 4 pm on Thursday, April 12, 2018. Plein Air participant Catherine Hillis is a nationally recognized and awarded watercolor painter who has recently moved to the area and she'll share with you all the secrets she can. Are you afraid to begin painting outdoors? Are you confused about how to begin? Would you like to take those first steps and become a plein air painter? Bring your basic watercolor supplies and/or a sketchbook, a chair and/or an easel and we'll go through some foundational work to gain confidence. The instructor will discuss supplies and equipment set up and then paint a live demonstration. Students can follow along with the instructor or be coached to paint on their own.
