VISIT FLORIDA, the official tourism marketing corporation for the State of Florida, has an opening for a Manager, Meetings and Corporate Events. You will join and manage a fast-paced and fun team of meetings and events professionals. Responsibilities will include: Market the State of Florida as the perfect destination for meetings, conventions and incentive trips by keeping Florida top of mind via a number of marketing opportunities: designing and executing social media strategies, creating in-market networking opportunities for our Florida partners, attending third party conferences and trade-shows as well as design and execute VISIT FLORIDA owned programs. This position is also an integral part of the Corporate Meetings and Events team and will contribute heavily to creating exciting experiences before, during and after our VISIT FLORIDA owned and executed shows, events and conferences, such as the Florida Governor’s Conference on Tourism.
Ideal Candidate will have at least five years of experience in the tourism industry, preferably in the meeting industry. You have to be outgoing, a multi-tasker and detailed oriented. You thrive to execute projects successfully semi-independently and come with creativity, ideas and contacts in the industry. Experience with and an interest in B2B social media marketing is a plus. Travel up to 20%. This position is based in Tallahassee, FL.
