If you are a teacher, artist, community leader, mother, entrepreneur, caregiver, nurse or professional, you may find deadlines, appointments and to-do lists are quickly taking over your life and affecting your overall health and well-being. If you’ve been trying to find the right tools, guides and resources to help reduce and manage the stress created by these commitments, this experiential workshop is for you.

Today, there are many organizations and individuals using fitness, movement and dance as a way to transcend through their daily lives, but there is one program in particular, Nia®, that is getting the Tallahassee community physically and mentally fit, teaching them how to balance work and play, and helping them reduce stress all while developing a deeper relationship with themselves.

Nia® combines dance, martial arts and mindfulness, and it tunes into the needs of the body, mind and spirit. Nia® tones the body while transforming the mind and it keeps the nervous system healthy by doing new things and by performing actions in a diverse order. Athletes, dancers, casual exercisers and gym-haters alike embrace the movement lifestyle because it feels good. Nia has changed the face of fitness as we know it today. It’s exhilarating, not guilt-driven; expressive instead of one-dimensional and healing, not exhausting. Nia® has forged the category known as mind-body fitness and it must be experienced to be appreciated.

Join us for this experiential workshop on Tuesday June 26, 12-1pm at Capital Regional Medical Center (Conference Building) to get a taste of Nia®.

Through Nia Technique®, Valerie helps individuals reshape the way they think and feel about fitness, so they redefine “fit” and it feels personal. Her classes are very adaptable and participants from all ability levels always leave feeling like they’ve succeeded. If you are in leadership, an entrepreneur, artist and/or community builder, you will especially love her Nia® classes because she will teach you how to workout from the inside out. She’ll encourage you to take care of yourself first- so you can better serve others. “My ultimate goal is to offer a unique fitness experience that feels integrated, conscious and whole. I want you to leave my classes feeling alive in your body and I want you to develop a positive relationship with fitness in general. Together, we can make your wellness journey purposeful and meaningful.” -Valerie Sanchez
