Jumpstart to Success: Back to School Community Experience

Jumpstart to Success: Back to School Community Experience is an annual event that provides book bags, school supplies, free haircuts and hair braiding, lunch, games and wholesome family entertainment for 5,000 students and their families in the Tallahassee area. The event will be held on August 13.

The Entertainment Stage is where we are looking for performers (dance teams, musicians, poets, singers, etc.) to entertain the passers-by and others with their talent.  They must be willing to perform pro bono as a service to the community.  Typically 10 -12 minutes is the allotted time. All acts must be suitable for all ages -- this is family friendly event co-sponsored by the Mayor's Office, WALMART, and several other entities.

Also, information booths are displayed to connect students and their families with organizations offering supportive services to help them be a successful family as a whole.
