Interns Wanted for Apalachicola Arsenal Museum

Interested in history?  Interested in starting with a Museum from the ground up?   Interested in helping to create exhibits?  Research?   Oral History program?  Documentary drafitng? Our internship can be done from your own location with just an occasional trip to the Museum.  We are a small rural community Museum located in a restored 1834 Powder Magazine from Florida's first and only Arsenal.   Lots of history, discovered and un-discovered,  surrounds this area.   Currently interested in working on a special Apalachicola River exhibit, a Civil War exhibit and exhibits related to all the firsts this facility has seen....first and only Arsenal, first action taken by Florida in the Civil War, First State Penitentiary, First Mental Health Hospital.  So much to learn and to help us share.   Take a look at the Facebook page for the Apalachicola Arsenal Museum Historical Society to learn more about what we do and what we have.  Volunteer a little or a lot...will work with you.    contact me at (850) 794-0197 for more information.
