Our partners at Lyrasis and CCAHA are working on the Collections Stewardship Succession Planning Initiative and are gathering data for the creation of professional development resources to support succession planning for collections stewardship and arts administration. We are asking Performing Arts Readiness contacts to participate in an online survey to gather data on current succession planning practices and create a better understanding of what kinds of resources would most benefit the field.
The Collections Stewardship Succession Planning Initiative is a two-year project funded by a National Leadership Grant from the Institute for Museum and Library Services (IMLS) that was created to actively address the need for leadership development and knowledge transfer in the cultural heritage workforce.
Collections Management staff at libraries, archives, museums, and other collecting institutions as well as Arts Administrators and Operations Managers within the arts field are encouraged to respond. The survey will take approximately 15 minutes to complete, and all responses are kept confidential.
The survey can be accessed here and will be open until Monday, October 2nd at 5pm ET. Thank you in advance for your participation —your input is critical to understanding the needs of museums, libraries, archives, and other collecting institutions and arts organizations.
