Full-Time Guitar Teaching Position

Position: Full-time Suzuki Guitar Instructor

Description: North Florida Suzuki School is an established music education program at Music Lessons Express, Tallahassee’s largest music school. Our Suzuki program has more than 60 enrolled students with a substantial waitlist for guitar students.

Duties: Teach private and group guitar lessons to students ages 3-18, assist and help coordinate recitals and other events, recruit new students/parents to the Suzuki program, assist with main office duties (scheduling, email correspondence, etc.) Scheduling is flexible and negotiable, but instructors can expect to teach four afternoons/evenings per week and have some weekend commitments. Instructor will report to the Guitar Program Director.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in music/music education/performance, registered Suzuki training through Book 1 (minimum) with a commitment to continue registration (financial assistance may be available for continued training), a minimum of 1 year previous teaching experience. A video teaching sample will be requested after initial resume reviews.  

Salary: $30,000-$33,000 per year
