The City of Tallahassee Office of Grants Management and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) are co-sponsoring a grant writing workshop on October 24-25, 2016. The workshop is entitled “The Art and Science of Grant Writing.” The workshop presenters are: Alicia Scott-Ford, Field Office Director and Fredric Washington, Senior Management Analyst, U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

The workshop is free and open to the public, non-profit and for-profit organizations, as well as anyone interested in the area of community and economic development. The workshop will be held in the City Commission Chambers on the second floor of City Hall, 300 South Adams Street, Tallahassee, Florida.

Overall, the workshop will provide grant writing training, highlighting funding opportunities and available programs offered through HUD and the Office of Community Planning and Development (CPD). Participants will learn how to develop strategies that bring resources together, how to leverage and build community assets, and how to effectively implement programs and increase the likelihood of successful projects.  For workshop details please review the agenda attached and copied below.  If you have any questions please contact Wanda Whitehead at 850-891-8724.
