col•lide Call to Mural Artists! EXTENDED
Call for Visual Artists - DEADLINE :
Thomasville, Georgia comes alive for six weeks with (20) 12’x 15’ temporary canvas murals installed on historic brick buildings throughout The Bottom Creative District. Artists design and paint murals that depict a person, place, or idea that contributes to Thomasville’s identity.
Each artist receives a $250 stipend and competes for award money: Best of Show $1,000, First Place $750, Honorable Mention $500.
All murals on exhibition will be available for sale by silent auction to the public through the exhibition period. Artists will establish the opening bid price upon delivery of the mural for installation. Artists will receive 100% of the auction sale price of their work.
All artists participating in the col•lide20 mural takeover and competition will receive:
- (2) tickets to Opening Reception + Artist Talk: date TBD
- (2) tickets to Speakers + Luncheon: date TBD
- (2) tickets to Street Party + Mural Takeover + Awards Ceremony: date TBD
- (2) tickets to one Rhythm and Roots Singer/Songwriter event of your choice (held quarterly)
- Membership in the THOM Artist Collective, which includes a THOM magazine subscription, opportunities to exhibit work at the Center, and the chance to compete in artist exhibitions for awards.
