The All Saints Arts District — Tallahassee’s local small busines, artist and maker, festival, and outdoor art district — is launching a new monthly festival in May to compliment the famous First Friday Gallery Hop that is organized by Railroad Square. The “FIRST SATURDAY CULTURE CRAWL” (inagurated on May 7) will feature 12 and more curated performances, in all disciplines and at all levels of experience, inside businesses of the district, scattered over 7 hours. And all events are free and open to the public. Additionally, other local businesses will be staging non-curated events during the same period, creating a bustling and diverse walking district atmosphere.
The district is seeking original, out-of-the-mold, conceptual performance ideas in the areas of music, theatre, dance, film, cuisine, literature, comedy, art, open mic, and more. All ideas are welcome, but inventive ideas will receive higher rating. The district will match curated proposals with well-fitted venue within the district. And as this is a monthly event, all proposals will be retained for future consideration if a slot is not available for them in May. Please submit your concept and proposal — in 500 words or less — to AllSaintsDistrict@Gmail.com
