Juried CAA Member Exhibit

Cambridge Art Association (CAA) is seeking artists for their presentation at the Kathryn Schultz Gallery. The competition will be juried by Mary Bucci McCoy, visual artist working and living on the coast north of Boston.

The deadline to apply is November 29th, 2023.

About {a}temporal

Through diverse mediums, artists share their unique narratives and invite viewers on a storytelling journey. Each artwork – whether lived or imagined, occurring in the past, present, or future – serves as a reflection on the multifaceted ways that individuals communicate stories. In {a}temporal, time-based painting, photography, sculpture, video, graphic design, and mixed-media artwork articulate individual narratives and encourage contemplation.

Eligibility:

CAA’s {a}temporal exhibit will be featured in CAA’s Kathryn Schultz Gallery. We anticipate and hope that some applicants will enter artworks that comprise a series. Each series is considered as a single submission, as long as it meets the below requirements related to dimensions. Each applicant may submit 3 entries for consideration. For example, the following artwork is considered a series and a single artwork submission: Beth Dary, Bloom, from CAA’s 2019 exhibit Material Lamentations

  • All mediums accepted: 2D, 3D and video work
  • All artwork must be available for sale.
  • Artwork must not exceed 72 inches on the longest side.
  • Artwork must have been created within the past five (5) years.
  • Work must be original, no reproductions.
  • All work submitted must be available for the exhibition dates.
  • Artwork that has been accepted into a CAA show within the past two (2) years will not be considered.
