April is National Autism Acceptance Month where we celebrate autism and neurodiversity with events and resources that spread awareness and promote acceptance. The infinity symbol celebrates the acceptance and infinite diversity of those on the autism spectrum and in the neurodiverse community. Check back later for events, activities, and more for the library’s 2023 National Autism Acceptance Month celebration.

Neurodiversity is a variation in neurological differences that can include sociability, learning, attention, and mood within the population. Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a complex neurodevelopmental disorder that often includes repetitive behaviors, sensory challenges, and difficulties with social communication and interaction.
