Auditions for the Tallahassee Youth Orchestras

The Tallahassee Youth Orchestras is looking for talented music students interested in joining their Symphony and Chamber Orchestras (more information on the TYO ensembles).

All auditioning students will be asked to perform:

1. Solo of the student's choosing
2. Posted excerpt for the desired ensemble (available here)
3. Sight reading.

Excperts will be posted April 1st, and auditions will be by appointment on May 15th. Contact Caitlin Bishop at tyodirector@gmail.com to schedule an appointment. A $5.00 audition fee is due upon check-in on the audition date.

Auditions will be held for those students wishing to be members of the Chamber Orchestra or the Symphony Orchestra. Students do NOT need to audition to join Intermezzo Strings or Orchestra Fundamentals. If you need assistance in selecting an appropriate ensemble for your child, we can provide a diagnostic screening to recomend an orchestra level.
