Foundation 4 Arts is auditioning for the new short musical ONE VOICE ONE DANCE: A Polemic in One Act, to open in April of 2020. The show needs four young adult actor-singer-dancers and one very versatile dancer. Production is funded by a grant from the Florida Department of Community Affairs. The show will perform in various venues in Tallahassee. Performers will be paid a stipend and is part of a campaign to reduce violence in the community. The message of ONE VOICE ONE DANCE is to promote peace and unity as a positive alternative to focusing on aggression, anger, and violence.
Auditions will be held at Foundation 4 Arts, 3510 Weems Road, Tallahassee. First auditions will be held this weekend, on Friday, Dec. 6, from 7 - 10 PM, and Saturday, Dec. 7 from 7 - 9 PM.
Second auditions and callbacks will be on Saturday, Dec. 14, 7 - 9 PM and Sunday, Dec. 15, 3 PM - 5 PM.
Auditionees should bring pre-recorded accompaniment or sheet music for a song and a short monologue. Rehearsals will begin in January. Dancers will be asked to improvise choreography. Actors and dancers will be asked to improvise a scene.
